Women's Soccer Coach 

Coach ClarkScott Clark will be the new head coach for the MCC Women's Soccer program for the 2011 season and has begun working to recruit players for the 2009 and 2010 NCCAA National Champion Lady Crusaders. Clark comes into the position with a wealth of coaching experience and also with excitement as this is his first collegiate coaching assignment.

Clark has been the head coach of the Junction City High School soccer programs since the spring of 2008, when he started with a girl's team that had an all-time won/loss record of 7-136. The teams have experienced steady improvement since that time, culminating in breakthrough seasons for both the girls and boys squads during 2010. The girl's team posted an all-time record for wins with an 8-7-1 regular season record and placed third in the 6A Central Region for post season play. The boys experienced similar success with a 7-7-2 regular season record, including 8 overtime games. The boys also finished 3rd in the 6A Central Region. Clark plans to maintain his position with the girl's team in Junction City for the foreseeable future.

Coach Clark holds numerous coaching diplomas through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, including the National Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, Goalkeeper I & II Diplomas, and the Director of Coaching designation. Also prior to coaching at MCC, Clark coached competitive teams from 2000-2008 with the Little Apple Soccer Club in Manhattan, Kansas. Currently, Clark is the Director of Coaching with the Mid Kansas United Soccer Club, an organization dedicated to serving the off-season development of players in the region.

Coach Clark also serves as a Battalion Chief with the Manhattan Fire Department and has been employed by that organization for the past 29 years. Clark and his wife Diane have three children who attend college around the country; Hannah 21, Leah 20, and Joel 18.
