Edwards Lectureship
The Edwards Lectureship is a significant leadership event for MCC and the Manhattan community. Established by the family of Dr. Arthur Edwards, it is a wonderful endowed tribute to his long tenure here at the college. He played a key role in crafting the partnership that now exists between Manhattan Christian College and Kansas State University in the dual degree program.
Dr. Edwards was a man of faith, a man of service, and a man of ministry. That commitment was demonstrated throughout his life and ministry, and it continues in the generations of his family that follow him. Dr. Edwards was a strong believer in the “Priesthood of all believers” and worked tirelessly to enable others to use their talents to those purposes.
The Edwards Lectureship provides a unique opportunity for Manhattan Christian College to take her mission of educating, equipping, and enriching Christian leaders beyond the classroom. Featured speakers are chosen for their proven Christian leadership and their ability to challenge audiences to integrate faith into their chosen professions.
The college is grateful to the Arthur Edwards family and the gifts they have made to honor his commitment and service in ministry and to endow this lectureship.
