Our purpose at West Side Christian Church is to glorify God by making lives better through a right relationship with him. We see ourselves doing that right where we are. We see ourselves serving each other, serving our neighbors, serving our community, and reaching out to the world.

West Side CC has been at its current location for just over 100 years. With an outstanding reputation in our community, we have a rich history of church planting in the Wichita metro and resources that exceed our numbers as we are currently averaging right around 180 for our worship services.

We will be looking for a senior minister that shares our vision and can communicate that well. He needs to be evangelistic and preach the Bible strongly and passionately—a servant-leader that wants to serve alongside us. One who leads by example and, because he knows his own weaknesses, can be gracious with others.

We are looking for a man that is qualified to be an elder (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Tit. 1:6-9). His knowledge and practice of the Bible should be sound and in line with restoration doctrine. We have a desire to find a man that is connected with other respected ministers, churches, organizations, and schools within the restoration movement.

Because he will lead the ministerial team, he needs to be able to work with and through that team. We are looking for someone that is willing and able to delegate tasks to others so he can focus on teaching and prayer. He should be mature and experienced, having a focus on mentoring and discipleship.
