Professor of Youth and Family Ministries

Manhattan Christian College seeks candidates with substantive preparation in youth and family ministries. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of current issues relating to youth and
families. They should be able to teach within changing cultural contexts. Subfields may include children’s ministry and psychology.

1. A master’s degree in a field related to youth or family is required, but a terminal degree is preferred.
2. Meaningful experience in ministry is required.
3. Teaching experience in higher education using multiple modalities is preferred.
4. A commitment to Restoration Movement ideals.
5. Resonance with Manhattan Christian College’s calling, mission, vision, and belief statements.
6. The desire and ability to develop pastoral relationships with students, staff, faculty, and stakeholders.
7. The ability to ground youth and family ministries biblically and theologically.

1. Teach a full-time load (12-15 hours) each semester.
2. Provide oversight to students participating in Directed Field Experiences.
3. Provide academic advising.
4. Participate on committees as appointed.
5. Develop pastoral relationships across campus.
6. Continue education and preparation in related field(s).
7. Serve in a local church.
8. Adhere to the faculty handbook.
9. Maintain office hours on campus.

The compensation package is based on academic credentials and relevant experience.
