When can I start?
Courses start at two times each semester. Fall 8-week courses typically begin in August and October. Spring courses begin in January and March. Summer courses begin in June. See the course offerings for exact start dates for available courses.

How do I get started?
Your first step is to apply to the college, pay the $25 application fee, and have your two references complete the reference forms. Be sure to order official copies of your previous college work to be sent directly to MCC. If you have any uncertainty or questions, please contact the program director, or call the Admissions office at: 877-246-4622.

How much does MCC Online cost?
A MCC Online education costs less than the traditional private Christian education, with the same high quality instruction. You may qualify for financial aid and/or tuition reimbursement from your employer. Each 3-hour course costs $1104. There is also a $30.00 technology fee for each course.

Is financial aid available?

Higher Learning Commission Mark of Affiliation Manhattan Christian College and the online degree-completion programs are accredited by both the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) a commission of the North Central Association, and by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). Your MCC Online degrees will carry the same accreditation as all other MCC degrees.

What are the credentials of MCC Online faculty?
All of our faculty members have masters or doctorate degrees. Many currently serve in vocational ministry positions or are in leadership positions in their local church. This means they bring theory and practice together as they guide you through your coursework.

What programs are offered online?
MCC Online currently offers two degree-completion programs and a Certificate program:

B.S. in Biblical Leadership
B.S. in Management & Ethics
and a Certificate in Biblical Leadership (21 hours)

Why are the courses only 8 weeks long?
We have developed each 3 credit-hour course into an accelerated 8-week format. This allows busy people to complete courses efficiently. This also allows students to limit themselves to two courses in an 8-week term and remain qualified for full financial aid (12 credit hours per semester).

Do I still have to buy books?
Yes. Just like an on-campus course, textbooks are required for each online course. We will provide you with the book list before the course begins, so you can purchase the books at your favorite bookseller. Be very careful ordering used textbooks online as there may be long delays in delivery.

MCC also requires all students to have Logos Bible Software: Bronze edition from Logos Bible Software. Students who enroll in BIB 112 will be charged a book fee of $335 (a 50% discount) and the software will be provided to you (students who already have the software will be credited upon proof of ownership). You may choose to upgrade to sliver, gold, platinum, diamond, or portfolio editions with a 50% academic discount (enrollment verified).

    Will I get personal attention?
Yes. At Manhattan Christian College, your goals are important to us. Course sizes are limited to 15 students so that your professors can give you the feedback and encouragement you need to succeed. You can contact your professor via e-mail or phone. The professor also takes part in the weekly discussion board(s).

How many hours per week does it require?
Most students report that they spend a minimum of 14-15 hour per week on each course. MCC Online’s rigorous online education degree curriculum requires a high level of commitment and self-discipline.

Can I “CLEP” out of courses or get other alternative credit?
Yes, MCC accepts CLEP and DANTES credits to meet non-major course requirements. You may also have Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) that you have gained through seminars or job-related training such as technical, military, or missionary training. You can transfer up to 30 hours of alternative credit. MCC also offers a course, ORN 020, Introduction to Credit for Prior Learning to help students explore their potential CPL options. There is a fee for CPL evaluation and credit.

Can I transfer hours from other colleges to MCC?
Yes, you can transfer hours from other accredited colleges to the MCC Online program. Contact the Director for Distance Education or your admissions counselor to find out more about transferring hours.

How often do I have to be online for class?
The beauty of online courses is that you get to choose! The days and times that you take online college courses are entirely up to you as long as you meet participation requirements. Typically, you are not required to be online at the same time with the whole class, unless a course 'chat' session is scheduled by the instructor. You can log on at any time of the day or night. This allows you to fit school into your busy schedule!

What happens if I have a technical problem?
Our online course system is very easy to use. Most students never experience a problem. If you have any questions or experience any difficulties we offer technical support via e-mail, and over the phone (toll free: 877-246-4622). It is the student's responsibility to provide access to the Internet (through your Internet Service Provider), and to maintain your personal computer - the technical staff is always available to answer questions.
