Hernandez Signs with Women's Soccer

Andover, KS. Manhattan Christian College Women’s Soccer is proud to announce the signing of Veronica Hernandez, a midfielder from Andover Central High School in Andover, Kansas.

Veronica has been a four year player for Coach Stephanie Garcia. Coach Garcia spoke very highly of Veronica on the field, but her leadership ability both on and off will be relied upon on as MCC looks to restart their program.  "She sets an example through her personal efforts on the field. The team knows how hard she works, and therefore they know she is someone to follow.” Said Garcia.

First year Coach Trent McGee was highly complimentary of what Veronica will bring to their program, even in her first year.  “Veronica will have an immediate impact for us, I’m so glad that she chose us to develop her on and off the pitch to become the best version of herself. Her technical ability and her ability to play her role will be huge for us next season, and can’t wait to get started with her in August.”

Veronica is the daughter of Tina and Ken Webel and she’s looking to major in Family Studies.  Veronica joins a recruiting class that has already received commitments from four other girls, but Coach McGee says they aren’t done yet.  “This is a long process to rebuild this program, we are excited for the 5 girls joining us, and can’t wait to see who else joins our program as we look to get back to Nationals.”  Manhattan Christian College season kicks off in August.
