Academic Accommodations

MCC facilitates a number of accommodations and services for students with documented disabilities.  The nature and type of academic accommodations vary from student to student and are dependent upon the student’s disability and academic requirements.

Students with disabilities requesting accommodations and services are asked to register with the Retention and Learning Skills Coordinator as soon as possible in order to start the process of requesting accommodations and services for their classroom and testing needs. Once registered, the student and the Retention and Learning Skills Coordinator will meet to make a plan of action for student’s success moving forward. Meetings with faculty and staff may take place at the request of the student.

To request academic accommodations, a student is required to have documented disabilities (i.e. high school I.E.P./504) that provide specific functional limitation information and demonstrates the need for specific accommodations. The student is responsible for the cost of any evaluation.

For assistance, the student needs to contact the Retention & Learning Skills Coordinator.
