Woman's World is a non-denominational overnight event that helps women understand their significance in God's eyes. The program includes practical seminars, a dynamic keynote speaker, buffet meals, times of worship, and lots of other surprises. It will be a fun and inspirational break from the winter months. Woman's World has been a ministry of Manhattan Christian College since 1978.
Our keynote speaker this year, Thelma Wells, affectionately known as Mama T, is a gifted author, public speaker, and storyteller. In 1996 she became the first black core speaker for the Women of Faith Tour. She has authored several books, including God Is Not Through With Me Yet, an inspiring examination of her own life experiences in which she encourages readers to "sing in the closets of their lives."
She serves as the president of The Daughters of Zion Leadership Mentoring Program. Through this ministry she has mentored over 100 spiritual daughters. In 2008 she was named Extraordinary Woman of the Year by the Extraordinary Women Conferences an affiliate of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Don’t forget . . . We will have a fashionable neck scarf exchange on Friday night. Everyone who brings a “one-size-fits-all” neck scarf will be encouraged to trade theirs with someone else at the conference in a fun friendship exchange.
