Volleyball Coach
Lauren Sanders is the head coach for Manhattan Christian College Lady Crusaders. Coach Sanders had been at MCC for four seasons with an overall record of 100-40.
In 2008, the Lady Crusaders finished with an overall record of 30-7. MCC was 10-1 in the Midwest Christian College Conference regular season, finishing first in the Conference. MCC also took home the Conference Tournament Championship. This was the first time that MCC won both the Conference and Conference Tournament under Coach Sanders. MCC was also the NCCAA Central Region Champions for the third time in school history. . The Lady Crusaders made their third showing at the NCCAA II National Championship Tournament, where they finished in 3rd Place. This was the first ever Final Four appearance for the MCC Lady Crusaders and the highest finish in school history at the National Tournament.
Coach Sanders’ goal is “Reaching for Excellence.” She plans to continue to work to build a strong, competitive program that will always be reaching for excellence, on and off the court.
Before coming to MCC, Coach Sanders played for the Sterling College volleyball team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from Kansas State University. She has attended the Gold Medal Squared Coaching Program as well as received her IMPACT coaching certification. Coach Sanders currently works for at MCC as the Food Services Director.
