MCC NOW Alumni Campaign

Be a part of the MCC Family who is putting the finishing touches on the inside of Jolliffe Hall.

This is a Team Effort Making an Impact for Today and Tomorrow

What Is It?
MCC NOW is an important new tradition for Manhattan Christian College.  It is a fun, giving campaign that will be held annually to promote school spirit, build school pride, and draw attention to a specific financial project on campus.

MCC NOW was held for the first time in February 2009 for one concentrated week. Everyone on campus—faculty, staff, and students—were encouraged to give a one-time over and above gift toward a special project.

In preparation for the re-opening of Jolliffe Hall, the project was to purchase comfortable, stylish, and durable furniture for the new lounge on the second floor. The location and accessibility of the lounge made it something that everyone was interested in and of course, everyone was excited to get moved back into Jolliffe Hall. The lounge is now a cozy room for anyone on campus to gather, eat a snack, study, or just hang out

What Happened in February?
Total dollars raised in February during the first part of the MCC NOW campaign was $7,127. The overall participation rate of everyone on campus was 49%. Individuals from each of the categories listed below gave a gift large enough to receive a cool MCC NOW shirt that they could wear to show their MCC pride.

Today’s Alumni Challenge
As a significant part of the MCC family, the alumni are asked to join the MCC NOW 2009 campaign. The focus of this special fundraising event will be to raise $10,000 in the month of November among alumni to continue furnishing Jolliffe Hall.

A sampling of the special projects needing support are video projectors, conference-sized tables, classroom chairs, a wireless sound system, and a tattle tape security system for resources, are just a few of the projects needing funding.

MCC NOW gives alumni an easy way to show they care about their alma mater as well as get something in return.

A minimum gift of $25 is all that is needed to receive one of the cool MCC NOW t-shirts. These navy t-shirts are 100% cotton with the three-color logo shown above. Shirts will be mailed to all donors during the month of December.

Currently, 9.1% of MCC alumni give at least one gift to the college per year. Today’s challenge is to get more alumni involved and match the overall participation rate that the MCC NOW campaign had on campus.
