Eric T. ('98) Ward, 37, finished his earthly journey after a brief fight with cancer and was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father on June 8, 2009 at his home which he designed and built for his family in Delta, CO. Eric is survived by his wife Kristi (Salmans, '97) and his three children Elizabeth (10), Adam (8), and Alex (3). Eric had been the youth pastor at Delta Christian Church since 1998. Eric loved to play and he had always envisioned the church having a place to play outside. An Eric Ward Memorial Park will be created at DCC, which will hopefully include a softball field, a volleyball pit, and a pavilion – a place for the community to fellowship, laugh, and be together.
