Majors and Degree Programs

Manhattan Christian College continues her long tradition of providing distinctive training for students who want to answer God's call to full-time vocational ministry. We offer degree programs in bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees.  Bachelors of Theology, Associate degrees (including General Studies), and one year Certificates of Biblical Literature are also offered. Students who wish, may also choose a minor in any degree field! A degree from Manhattan Christian College will help you:

  • Gain a deeper knowledge of God's Word and how to apply what the Bible says to life's situations.
  • Become grounded in Biblical doctrine.
  • Participate in an internship that will give you practical ministry experience.

PREACHING AND SMALL GROUP  program will equip you to effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be a leader in the kingdom of God. We will train you in all practical areas of a Christian leader's responsibilities including: church administration, counseling, sermon development, and involvement.

Our
CHILDREN's program will equip you for leadership in Christian education. You will learn how to teach the Bible to all age groups using the methods and techniques that are appropriate for each developmental level. We will also train you in organization, administration and involvement. You will also receive practical experience in internships and by your involvement in area children's ministries.

The
FAMILY program will equip you to deal with the challenges and pressures of working with today's families. This program trains Christian leaders how to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families and individuals. This will include: understanding theory and methods of family ministry, understanding how the church works in relation to the family, and learning how to organize and administrate a family ministry program in the local church. If you choose, you may also prepare to pursue graduate studies. Currently there are three areas of specialization: church ministry, social work, and counseling (or pre-therapy).

The
MISSIONS program will prepare you to meet the great commission of Matthew 28:19 by training you to share the message of Jesus Christ abroad or cross-culturally within this country. You will learn effective tools and techniques for missionary work, church planting, and church growth in a cross-cultural context. We will expose you to missionaries serving in many different capacities and a variety of mission trips and outreach ministries.

Our
YOUTH program will expand and enhance your passion to minister to junior and senior high young people. Your classroom experience will teach you effective planning and techniques and expose you to many of the nation's best youth ministries in seminar classes. You also will be able to select an area of emphasis. Emphasis options include: Pastoral Ministry, Family Ministry, Educational Ministry, or Urban Ministry. You will also receive practical experience in internships and by your involvement in area youth ministries.

WORSHIP program at MCC will provide you training and education for the worship ministry of a church. You will learn technical and administrative skills for a music program in the local church, and continue to improve and enhance your musical gifts. You will also gain practical experience in leading and planning worship through participation in active praise and worship teams.
