2008 Timothy Days
14th Annual Leadership Scholarship Interviews
January 24-25, 2008

Do you have any senior students who have stepped up and made a difference in your youth group? We want to recognize your leaders and their accomplishments. You can nominate your leaders by submitting their name to the admissions office. After you have submitted your nominations a special invitation will be sent to the student and their parents to attend this two day event. As Christian leaders they will be recognized in front of other peers and faculty at a formal banquet. They will also be given the opportunity to interview for a Leadership Scholarship. A scholarship worth over $27,000!

To meet MCC's mission of educating, enriching, and equipping Christian leaders, the Admissions and Recruitment Department is hosting the 14th Annual Timothy Days. This is a very special time for high school senior leaders to visit MCC and interview for the Leadership Scholarship.

For consideration of the Leadership Scholarship, we need recommendations from youth leaders and ministers. The student(s) that are recommended must meet these leadership characteristics:

  • A senior in High School
  • An active leader in your youth group, community, or at school

If your student(s) meet these standard, they will receive an invitation from MCC's President to attend the Timothy Days activities. On Friday, January 25th, the student will be interviewed by a committee consisting of faculty and administration. There are four Leadership Scholarships awarded each year - 2 females and 2 males will be awarded the scholarship. The recipient must enroll at MCC as a full-time, degree-seeking student for Fall 2008.

The Leadership Scholarships will be for:
- Freshman year: $ 4,000
- Sophomore Year: 1/2 Tuition
- Junior Year: 3/4 Tuition
- Senior Year: Full Tuition

Interviews will only be conducted in person during Timothy Days. Please send in your nomination no later than January 4, 2008. Invitations will be sent out to students in mid-December, and then as they are received.
