One of the benefits of attending MCC is the Residence Hall life. Students live with others who have a common bond in Jesus Christ sharing in devotions, small groups, camping trips, sporting events, floor functions, and many other activities that students take part in. Residence Hall life promotes growth spiritually, socially, and academically.
Residence Halls
Freshmen and sophomore students are required to live on campus and are housed in the Residence Halls. The residence halls meet separately each week for praise & worship and devotions. Each student is also a part of small discipleship groups that also meets on a weekly basis. These groups involve students in accountability, prayer support, and Bible study.
Residence Hall Application Process:
After you have applied for admission you will be sent a housing contract. A contract is required for all students who stay in MCC residence halls. Once MCC receives a completed housing contract AND a $125 deposit, a place in the residence halls will be reserved based upon availability. Housing contracts are due by June 1st. Housing space is reserved on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to those received prior to June 1st. Roommate assignments will be provided to students by July 15. If you have any further questions about MCC residence halls, you may contact Student Development office at: 785-539-3571.

Dining Services
Balancing homework, jobs, hobbies, sports, and a social life can be challenging. We offer the convenience of two meal plans while living in the residence halls:
15 meal plan - 15 meals per week
10 meal plan - 10 meals per week
If you have any questions about MCC dining services, you may contact Joanna Ingmire at 785-539-3571.
Costs:
MCC residence halls are inexpensive and economical for students. Especially when compared to the average rental costs for apartments in Manhattan. See current housing costs on our student financial aid page.
These rates include room, meals, utilities (individual phone service is an additional cost), and wireless Internet access.
Are You Required to Live in MCC Housing?
Manhattan Christian College requires freshman and sophomores to live in the residence halls. You are not required to live in MCC housing if you are:
1. Living in Manhattan with your parents, or
2. Are married, or
3. Have children, or
4. Are 21 years old, or
5. Are a part-time (non-degree seeking) student, or
6. Have already been in college for two years.
What About Housing for Upper Classmen?
If you are not required to live in a residence hall, MCC has many other housing options. MCC has a few homes set aside for upper classmen and transfer students. These on campus houses are for six to twelve students. The cost for living in these houses is the same as the residence hall. If you would like to know more information about these houses you can contact the Student Development office at: 785-539-3571.
Housing for upper classmen is also available by leasing an apartment. MCC owns several houses and apartments on campus that are available for rent to students. Many MCC students prefer to stay on campus because of the relationships and Christian atmosphere that is built among the student body. Living on campus also makes getting to class convenient and easy. You can find out more information and what apartments are available by contacting the Business Office at: 785-539-3571.
