Purpose and Goals of the MCC Camp Teams
1. To share Christ with those who do NOT know Him. John 1:6-7 "There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for a witness, that he might bear witness of the light that all might believe through him." The Camp Team member will share the love of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, to those campers and staff personnel who do not know Him.
2. To strengthen the relationship between those who know God and His Son. Luke 22:32 "I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brother." The Camp Team member will strengthen the relationship between a camper, staff person, dean, or their teammates and God.
3. To serve in any way, at any time, or at any place to help a person see the Lord more clearly. Heb. 12:28 "Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe." The Camp Team member will serve the camp, staff, and faculty in any way that will make the camp a success for the Lord.
4. To encourage campers, staff, and fellow Camp Team members in their service to God. 1 Thes. 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing." The Camp Team member will encourage campus, staff, faculty, and each other. Camp Team Formula for Success:
To share the Lord
To strengthen relationships for the Lord
To serve in any way possible
To encourage those around you
