MCC BIBLE BOWL 2008
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING
TOURNAMENT QUESTIONS

Each church must prepare a set of questions that have 25 TOSS-UP and 15 BONUSES (no auto bonus or chapter ID). The covering text will include all of John, 1,2,3 John, and Peter. The questions and the registration for the tournament must be submitted no later than February 1, 2008.

TOSS-UP QUESTIONS: Your 25 toss up questions MUST be broken down as follows: NO EXCEPTIONS – 7 General (3 must be 2 part), 13 Keyword (5 must be 2-part), 5 Speciality (4 different kinds)..

BONUS QUESTIONS: Try to write a variety of interesting Bonuses (and Toss-ups too). DO NOT use AutoBonus to prepare your bonus questions. We will use AutoBonus in editing and want to avoid repeating them. This means DO NOT INCLUDE any of the following types of bonuses: (1) concordance bonuses, (2) natural list bonuses, (3) chapter identification bonuses, (4) names of people, places etc. found in a chapter and (5) segment bonuses based on one verse or consecutive group of verses. 

Remember that a variety of Toss-ups (fast and slow, easy and difficult) is what we are looking for. We will have three brackets playing on the same rounds. These brackets will have a Junior High and Division II teams, as well as some of the top teams in the nation.

All questions MUST COMPLY with the new NACC rules for question writing issued in July, 2004. If you do not have a copy of the new rule book, please contact the National Bible Bowl Office: www.biblebowl.net.

IMPORTANT: This set of questions should be written specifically for this tournament only. They must not be shared with your team or any other team prior to the tournament.

One set of questions must be submitted per church.

All questions submitted must be prepared, proofread and edited using the BBERT program BEFORE SUBMITTING online using the question writing software. This software may be purchased from the National Office (along with Question Pro) for $70.

All questions must be using the question writing program by midnight on February 1.

Questions that do not comply with these directions will be returned for correction to the team submitting them.
