The degree B.S. Bible/Music Ministry will no longer be offered at MCC as of the Fall of 2002. A minor in Worship is currently under development. Any questions regarding the Music program may be directed to Randy Ingmire, VP for Academic Affairs.

Music is an essential part of the local church and has been a significant element in Christian worship through the ages. The curriculum seeks to provide a thorough, foundational understanding of music so that a graduate will be equipped to serve in a musical role in a local church or to pursue an advanced degree. Students are introduced to music as an art form and a ministry. Music ensembles provide practical experiences in music for majors and non-majors in traditional and classical styles of church music as well as contemporary styles of music. The Celebration Singers, Inspiration Ringers, and Instrumental Ensemble are open to all MCC students through auditions in the fall semester and involve tours to various parts of the United States. Chapel offers students a dynamic introduction to worship leading in a variety of settings. Praise teams are also auditioned and meet regularly to rehearse to travel to churches within the local region leading praise and worship services and various youth events.
